Seriously. This just happened. We were finishing the last take of BK's solo on the last song for the new album and the fire alarm in my studio went off, prompting my security alarm to go off, which triggers ADT to call the fire dept. They showed up with lights on and sirens blaring at 2am in full fire gear. Before we knew it, 3 firefighters were in the studio looking for the fire. But there was no fire. Not even smoke. That's how hot BK's solo is at the end of the new midatlantic record! No joke.

Folks - the transformation is underway. The Bleedin Bleedins will soon be reborn as 'midatlantic' with a new site, myspace page, etc. our first show as midatlantic will be on June 21 when we open for Fountains of Wayne at UMass Boston. More details to come...
Its true! With little fanfare, the Bleedin Bleedins will soon be no more. But, we as a group will not be going away. Rising from the ashes, we've decided to rename ourselves midatlantic, since we draw from both side of the Atlantic ocean for our musical interests and influences. With a new album in the works, a new sound, and a "new" member (Matt on bass), we're reinventing ourselves along with the new name. We hope you like it!
Our last official show as The Bleedin Bleedins will be on Sat, May 24 in New York City at the Annex Lounge. Join us for the bleedin farewell party!
Our manager, the illustrious Frank Donnelly, just so happens to be old friends with the boys in BellX1. They were in Boston on friday night, so we all went out to see them... Then of course joined them for pints after the show.
Last week was an amazing week of music in Boston for the Bleedins. On Monday, Barry and I went to The Cure concert and it was quite good, despite the apparent sound issues they were having onstage. The bass tone/sound they get is inspiring. Here's a pic from my seat.
